Kirby Café take-out in Tokyo 🍰✨ Even if you Kirby Café take-out in Tokyo 🍰✨ Even if you don’t have a reservation for the Kirby Café, you can still enjoy cute Kirby treats thanks to the take-out options available at Tokyo Skytree Town!

There are actually two ways to grab food to go:

🛍️ Kirby Café Shop (Solamachi)
This separate shop also sells themed snacks and drinks you can enjoy on the go. I tried the Kirby bun, which was adorable and delicious, plus a super cute Kirby-themed drink with a special strap!

🍴 Takeout from the Kirby Café itself
Right next to the café entrance, there’s a dedicated take-out counter where you can order selected menu items without dining inside. Perfect if reservations are sold out but you still want a taste of the Kirby Café experience!

The menus change seasonally, so there are always new surprises to discover. So don’t worry, even if you can’t get a table, the take-out menu still has you covered! 💖

Want to enjoy early sakura in winter? 🌸 You can Want to enjoy early sakura in winter? 🌸 You can find them along Atami’s Itokawa River on an easy day trip from Tokyo!

Unlike the famous cherry blossoms that usually bloom in late March to early April, Atami’s sakura bloom much earlier — from January to early February! Atami-zakura, known for blooming early and lasting much longer than usual (around a month, compared to the short bloom of Somei Yoshino) 🥹

Best spots to see them:
🌸 Itokawa Promenade where you can also enjoy their 16th Sakura Festival from January 10th to February 8th. The riverside is beautifully illuminated every night from 16:30 to 23:00 ✨
🌸 Atami Plum Garden – with early-blooming plum blossoms
🌸 Baien City Road
🌸 ACAO Forest (not free though)
🌸 Atami Castle

🚞 Getting There (from Tokyo Station):
• Option 1 – Faster: Take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Atami Station (about 40min).
• Option 2 – Slower and cheaper: Take the Tokaido Line (1h45min) or the JR Odoriko (1h20min). Both are covered by the JR Pass.

➕ Extra Spots Nearby:
• いちご BonBonBERRY ATAMI HOUSE for some strawberry sweets! @atamibonbonberry
• Milchee’s for an excellent cheesecake! @atami.milchees

📹 These videos were taken on February 8th last year, with blossoms still continuing to open.

If you’d like to see sakura before spring officially arrives, Atami is the perfect place for an early cherry blossoms getaway! 🌸
Exploring rural Kyushu with the OM SYSTEM OM-3 📸

Spent the past month testing the new @omsystem.generation OM-3 while wandering around Kumamoto, Saga and Nagasaki, capturing quiet spots, small details, and everyday moments. This camera is such a joy to use — lightweight, compact, and just feels right in your hands 🫶🏻

The controls are intuitive, so you can focus on shooting without thinking much. The creative dial is a game-changer ✨ It lets you tweak colours and tones straight in-camera, so what you see is what you get, as if it was a preset!

For these shots I used the 75mm f/1.8 lens. It was my first time using a telephoto like this, and it completely changed how I captured nature and details — I’d highly recommend it.

Kyushu is peaceful and very photogenic, and the OM-3 made it so much fun to slow down and capture it all 🤍

Thank you so much @omsystem.generation for this opportunity, I’ve felt in love with this camera 😍

Day 2️⃣: Kochi – Arrive in Kōchi around midday, visit Kōchi Castle, then wander through the city and stroll along Obiyamachi shopping street.

Day 3️⃣: Kochi and Kotohira – Visit Kōchi’s Hirome Market and try local specialties like katsuo no tataki. Around noon, head to Kotohira and visit Kompirasan, officially known as Kotohira-gū.

Day 4️⃣: Kotohira and Matsuyama – Take an udon-making class, then head to Matsuyama. Be sure to visit Dōgo Onsen ♨️, one of Japan’s oldest and most iconic hot spring resorts!

Day 5️⃣: Matsuyama – Take the Iyonada Monogatari sightseeing train, then return to Matsuyama to explore its beautiful castle. This wraps up the Shikoku trip, but you can always extend your stay if you want to explore at a slower pace.
